Based on the post-credits scene following Rick and Morty season 5, episode 8, the child is already a few years old likely, Tammy was already pregnant when she revealed herself as being an undercover agent of the Galactic Federation and shot Birdperson. The Rick and Morty episode also reveals that Tammy and Birdperson have a daughter, although it's unclear when she was born. Rick being so uncomfortable at Birdperson's wedding was less about Rick's cynical attitude towards marriage, and more about his unresolved feelings for his friend.
Although Rick didn't explicitly admit romantic feelings for Birdperson after the Battle of Blood Ridge, he did share something deeply personal and asked his friend to join him on his adventures - only to be shot down. Yes, his attitude is played off like he's cynical from his own marriage - but Rick had never spoken ill of Beth's mother Diane, nor has he particularly lamented (at least in length) over his failed marriage before or since. "Rickternal Friendshine of the Spotless Mort" explains the truth for Rick's bitterness: he was jealous of Tammy. This was a bit of a plot hole at the time: Rick always loves a good party, and it was strange that he was so incapable of being happy for arguably his closest friend. Rick is uncharacteristically hostile in "The Wedding Squanchers." While every other member of the Smith Family enjoys themselves, Rick is obviously miserable.
This explains a lot about Rick's cynicism and loyalty to Birdperson, as well as his behavior during the season 2 episode "The Wedding Squanchers." In a twist, audiences discover the real reason why Rick's "Vietnam" haunts him: rather than being a horrific loss, as viewers were led to believe, the Battle of Blood Ridge was when Rick admitted his feelings to Birdperson - and was rejected. A key moment in the season 5 episode is the Battle of Blood Ridge, which was previously referenced in season 2. Many of the memories in "Rickternal Friendshine of the Spotless Mort" are set long before the events of the series, offering a look into Rick's character before he became the cynical, nihilistic alcoholic that fans are familiar with.

One of the more nuanced reveals, however, retroactively explains a lingering plot hole for the season 2 episode "The Wedding Squanchers." Throughout the episode, hints were dropped regarding Rick's past, including one that confirms a popular Rick and Morty fan theory. Audiences were given a rare glimpse into Rick's background in "Rickternal Friendshine of the Spotless Mort" - including the context of his friendship with Birdperson, Squanchy, and even Gearhead (or, as he prefers to be called, Revolio Clockberg, Jr.).
